Ibrahim TankoMedeama SC boss Ibrahim Tanko has vowed that his side will approach their remaining eight matches with renewed determination after surrendering top spot in the Ghana Premier League following a 2-1 defeat to Dreams FC.The Tarkwa-based side’s loss at the Tuba Astroturf on matchday 26 allowed Bibiani GoldStars to leapfrog them into first place, but Tanko insisted the title race is far from over.”Now our focus shifts to the next game. We must keep working hard and ensure we secure maximum points. With eight matches remaining, we will prepare thoroughly and approach each one with determination,” he said.Tanko acknowledged that a slow start cost his side against Dreams FC, with the hosts dominating the opening 20 minutes. While Medeama grew into the game and scored a fine goal in the second half, they could not recover from the early deficit.”We started very slowly, and Dreams FC were the better side in the opening 20 minutes. In the second half, we dominated play and scored a beautiful goal, but unfortunately, time was not on our side.”With eight games left to play, Medeama remain firmly in the title hunt. Tanko’s message is clear: the setback is temporary, and his players must respond with resilience and focus in the decisive weeks ahead.
